Yummy Summer Treats - Pink and Main

Good Morning All!

South Carolina lowcountry has been very steamy in the month of July and August isn't going to get any cooler!  So I decided to make a card with some cool summer treats!
My Design Steps:

  1. Use an A2 white card stock base. Cut a slightly smaller piece of coral color card stock and then an even slightly smaller piece of striped designer paper.  Attach the striped paper to the coral paper and then add the white ribbon to the center as shown.  After the ribbon is added glue to the front of the white card base. (Paper Recollections, DP DMD Fresh Paisley)
  2. Stamp you treats using Pink and Main stamps (So Cool)
  3. Color with water color pencils and blend with a blender pen (SU pencils and blender pen)
  4. Use die cut to cut out (Sizzix) and glue the cut outs to the matching scallop circle and pop up onto card as shown.  Add the enamal dots (Recollections)
  5. Stamp sentiment and layer it onto coral paper pop to card as shown

Hope you enjoy this sweet treats card!

Black and White Scallops - Pink and Main

Good Morning!

Today I am using the new release scallop border die and our thanks word die!

I just used the scallop die on the black and white polka dot paper and created my scallop design.  I added the ribbon.  Then I cut out the shadow for the thanks in white and the word in black as you card see. It was a pretty quick and easy card!

Have a great day and thank you for stopping by!

Cheers! - Pink and Main

Happy Sunday!

I am living in SC and the heat index the whole week has been up over 100 degrees with humidity to match!  So I decided to make myself a card to cool down!  It is beachside with a tall glass of lemonade and limeade!
Here are my design steps:
  1. A2 white card base (All card stock is Recollections and SU)
  2. Using our new release hexagon die cut set I first took a piece of white card stock slight smaller then the A2 base card front placed the largest of the hexagon dies where I wanted it and cut.
  3. Then I took a slightly smaller piece of blue card stock and used the hexagon die next to the largest and cut. (Pink and Main Hexagon die cuts)
  4. I glued the blue hexagon cut behind the white hexagon and set aside
  5. I used a piece of 4x 5 piece of white card stock and created my scene.  The waves are made with another new release die set which is a scallop border.  I turned the scallops upside down and made the waves.  I sponges with SU ink called Soft Sky.
  6. The sky was sponged with a stencil from Memory Box using SU Pacific Blue
  7. The sand was done with sponging SU Creamy Caramel
  8. Once the scene is complete glue to the card front.
  9. Take the hexagon cut front and stamp Cheers on the lower right corner as shown
  10. Take the hexagon window and place pop dots all around the back then center it to the front of the card around the beach scene
  11. On a separate piece of white card stock stamp the drinks and color with copics.  Fussy cut out
  12. Pop dot the drinks to the front of the card as shown
I hope you enjoyed seeing my card! Stay Cool!

Hummer! - Pink and Main

Good Morning!

Today I used the Hummingbirds stamp set for my card plus our rectangle stitch dies.
Design Steps:

  1. Cut a cream color A2 card base and round the corners (All cardstock is Recollections and SU)
  2. Using the Pink and Main Rectangle Stitch dies cut the kraft rectangle and the cream rectangle as shown.
  3. Run the cream rectangle through the swiss dot embossing folder. Mount the kraft and the cream retangles to the card front as shown.
  4. Cut another smaller cream rectangle and sponge on the clouds with TH Tumbled Glass.
  5. Stamp on the center flower(Pink and Main Hummerbird set) and use a mask to stamp on the others. Color with watercolor pencils (SU pencils) Glue to the card front
  6. Stamp the humming bird and color with watercolor pencils then fussy cut and pop dot to the card front
  7. Create a small stitch rectangle and stamp the sentiment.  Tuck the sentiment under the main stamped panel as shown
Hope you enjoyed this card and please check back with us for some new release dies!
Blessings
